The Summer holidays are nearly half over and it is time we took a proper break.

FRC Announcement Holiday Time and Festival Season Approaches.

That is right campers, FRC is having some downtime (sort of). I am typing this from my tent in a field in Cornwall, UK. I had every intention of keeping the site going with the normal amount of posts during this period but as it turns out I am actually really enjoying the time being unplugged from the blogashpere. Sorry guys.

We will still have a skeleton of posts but it is only going to be that, a skeleton of posts. We are here until 28th August. So hang in there I will be back to posting, commenting and tweeting when I return.

To be honest I need to make the most of this time as when the Autumn hits, we are going to be into our busiest period – Festival Season!!!!

I have handed in my accreditation application for returning delegates to London Film Festival from 10th – 21st October, which although is a week shorter than last year still will be most excellent! I am planning to do a lot more screenings than last time and also Teri (who is London based) is also getting accreditation so we will have all bases covered.

The other big date on our calendar is Cine-City, The Brighton Film Festival which runs from 15th November to 2nd Decmber. I have been in contact with the organizers and we are going to be heavily involved with the build up and coverage of the entire event this year. The program is still in the works but one night that is confirmed is a special screening of DRIVE with a set from COLLEGE before here are the details -

COLLEGE real name David Grellier, is a French electronic music composer. In 2011 ‘A Real Hero’ by Grellier was selected to be used prominently throughout the Nicolas Winding film DRIVE .The film quickly became a cult-classic and propelled College to new levels of popularity.
On Saturday 17th November at Duke of Yorks Cinema in partnership with One Inch Badge and as  part of the 10th edition of the Brighton Film Festival, College will be performing a live show accompanied by his now trademark visuals. His performance will then be followed by a complete screening of the film ‘DRIVE’.

So this is pretty exciting.

So as you can see it is going to be a pretty exciting period, with lots to read and see. Also we will continure to bring you the best reviews, articles, rants and lists on the web (well I can dream can’t I?)

Please stick with us in this downtime, we are not going anywhere, just taking some time
