FRC Feature – FRTees is Launched
Movie and TV inspired T-Shirts seem to be all the range, so why not launch some home grown designs?
As some of you are probably already aware, I have been trying to get back into design via Adobe Illustrator. It is a steep learning curve working with vectors as oppose to pixels, but the rewards when it goes right is amazing.
One thing I have always wanted to do is to design T-Shirts. I do love a subtle movie inspired Tee, something that makes you think for a second about what the design could be from.
So I started my own range. OK I am no Olly Moss but I am getting better with every design. I even have a little sketch book that I am starting to work through to gain inspiration and jot ideas into. Below are a few of my latest designs, of which I am most pleased with the Game of Thrones SPORTS logo designs (more of those to follow I think).

All of my designs can be bought through FRC’s Spreadshirt shop HERE. For reasonable prices, with no commission added
I am trying to do a design a day to hone my craft, so be sure to check FRC’s Facebook Page for new designs!!

Do you like my designs? Are you a fane of T-Shirts like these? Any requests?

Very tempting! Love the ‘Still Cooking’ one. Will have to remember these when a birthday comes around!
Thanks man, I am glad you like them
These are great Scott! Love the “Still Cooking” tee the best!
Question – Do you use Illustrator?
Thanks Jaina. As I mentioned above this is mostly Illustrator, but I use photoshop too in the process. I am not a professional like yourself, I am just trying…
Ha! I’m no pro at this sorta thing! I opened Illustrator once and got so scared I scurried back to Photoshop. People keep encouraging me to give it another go, but I just get totally lost when I open up Illustrator!
Nice work. I just realized the other day that Saul Goodman = It’s all good man.
Ah BT, Saul Goodman is a greatest, did you hear he may be getting a spin off show? How cool!!
I love that top one, dude. Looks a little like a Cyanide & Happiness creation, though! I’d buy one…..
Thanks Rodders, your support means a lot
Awesome work Scott. They look very cute
You should have a few as contest prizes or something ah!
That is a good idea Castor!! Thanks
They look great Scott…looking forward to see what you come up with next!
Thanks Dan, have you got any requests?
Saw about your shop a couple of days ago, cool move! Hope you’ll sell lots of them
Thanks Nostra, me too. Although I doubt I will, it is just for fun atm!
Very cool matey! Perhaps you should start designing FRC t-shirts also?
I have Ruth, they are the first ones I did, at the bottom of the spread shirt page!!
Nice work Scott, any plans on making one with that scorpion design from the film Drive?
Thanks matey, funny you should say that…. a DRIVE inspired Tee is in the works!
Oh, dude! These are great.
Though I don’t know what the top right shirt is referencing.
HAHA It is from The Raid….
Isn’t Illustrator great? As long as it’s vector, you can blow it up to whatever size you need. I’m really digging that Walter White shirt where he’s South Parked-out (purposefully or otherwise) and he’s battered. That’s some good Illustrator work right there.
Great job, Scott!
Thanks John, you are the master of Illustrator. I am enjoying using it, but it is such a steep learning curve. Hopefully I will get better with every design, I do seem to learn something new everyday!!
Looks nice, Scott
I love the first black tee and yellow ones. I tried doing some designs with AI couple of years ago, but not much now. Should be great on doing some T-shirt designs there. Nice that you’ve been inspired by The Raid!
Hey, these are pretty awesome, Scott! I think my favorite is the “Still Cooking” tee. Nice job!
Congrats on the venture Scott!
That sounds pretty sweet Scott. While I still collect the odd box set and DVD, streaming is where it’s at!
