Today is the first LOVE IN here at FRC, But who shall we share the love to?

FRC Love In Camping In UK is, WET

Happy Monday folks. I can’t believe we are here again so soon. It seems like the weeks are flying by lately, and the weekends go in a blink of the eye!

This weekend, as promised we took our trailer tent out for its first proper usage. Nothing could have really prepared us for what we were about to encounter. We have had a couple of goes putting the beast up, but never for real, and I will say this now, it is a learning curve. But, I am glad to report that we are still married, and apart from a few stresses it went up and down fairly smoothly.

It is such a shame though that the British weather didn’t give us a break at all. The first day was lovely up until 11.30pm when it started to rain, and rain, and rain. In fact it rained ALL night until we had to get up. Which turned the already WET field into a muddy marsh. Also the constant pitter patter of rain on the tent was some what like Chinese water torture, and left us a little tired (understatement). Still we would not be beaten.

The rain remained on and off constantly until Sunday morning. Which may not be so bad for modern tents, but ours is an old school canvas tent which cannot be put away damp, as it would get a nice dose of smelly mould. So we played the waiting game. Luckily the sun came out and it turned into a hot Sunday (typical as we were levaing). And we got the beast down and packed up.

Despite the rain, we kept smiling and the girls had an amazing time. It seems kids LOVE getting muddy!! We will go again next week and if we can survive this one, we can do anything!!

John from TDYLF first introduced me to Breaking Bad way back. I thank him greatly for that. We are going into the 5th season now, last night in fact, and I cannot wait to see where it takes us.

Over at Anomalous Material, the great Red Georges reminds us that we may be half way through 2012, but the glass is definitely Half Full, not empty!!

I found this article from Pete at I Love That Film a very interesting read. He makes some great points about the state of modern movie marketing, a sentiment that I feel very sore about

Mark from Marked Movies takes a look at one of my favourite film from one of my favourite current directors, thankfully he loves it too

The final link from the LOVE IN is a little selfish one. I was asked by Bubbawheat over at Flights, Tights and Movie Nights to take part in a little interview for his Follow Friday section. Thanks matey for letting me answer your questions!!
