FRC Love In – The Olympics Have Left The Building
On an over cast morning, UK is waking to a very different feeling, The Olympics have now finished and we all have a little Olympic Hangover
Boy am I tired. It has been quite an emotional 16 days. With the poor start that Team GB provided in the first few days of the games, the trepidation and negatives thoughts started to slip in – Have we done the British thing and failed to provide a great games? Have we over reached again?
I am very pleased to report that the answer is NO. The London Olympics 2012 was definitely one of the greatest shows I have ever seen. From the bizarre yet brilliant opening ceremony, to Super Saturday to the slightly off key Closing ceremony it was all brilliant.
Well Done Team GB, Well Done London, Well Done UK!!
It is back to normal now, at least I will be able to get some more films in now without missing on some great athletes going for gold. Which will be nice. I have a proper back log of films to watch.
As a side note, I don’t know if you have noticed but FRC has been a little less active in the last month. This is totally down to me, and I apologise. As a good friend of mine Ruth from FLIXCHATTER said to me a while back, I don’t know how you fit in a full-time job, family and blogging… At the time I didn’t see the problem, it all fitted OK. But lately with the Summer in full swing and my constant searching for a way to earn money from Front Room Cinema I have been able to spend less time on certain things while I try out new avenues, something had to give.
Unfortunately it has been the COMMENTING ROUNDS. I simply have not had the time to fit everything into one day, I need 28 hours a day to do it all. I am sure as we get back into the shorter days and the Festival season gets into full swing I will find more time. But for the time being, please bear with me. I know the outcome of this is that we get less comments here, which I understand, it is the unspoken rule of blogging reciprocation, but I will be back on the commenting as much as I can.
The Tee shop of FRC is going really well, we now have a dedicated FaceBook page for the designs and in 24 hours managed to attain over 100 likes, fingers crossed I have found my little niche!! If you haven’t liked it yet check it out by clicking the image below!!
If you see something you like, DM me on Twitter (@frontroomcinema), or an email on scott [at] frontroomcinema.com, or even a Facebook message and I will hand you over a discount code to use on your first purchase. Also if there is a design you always wanted but could never find, let me know I might be able to design one for you!!! We ship worldwide and are very competitive in price!!
/end of pimping.
OK enough of me waffling on, here is some LOVE!!

Much thanks for the linklove! don’t worry about getting less comments, at least not from me. I don’t see it that way. I comment very spontaneously, not keeping account of anything at all or expecting return comments. It’s not how I work.
The same day the Olympics ended I also finished the Game of Thrones book series. And now back to work and reality. Sigh. I would happily have stayed a bit longer in those worlds.
Commenting on everyone’s site can be a pain, especially when you’ve got heeeaaaaaps to get through and try and write content for your own site! I know I struggle with it myself…. plus family getting your attention is pretty darn important. So no worries, we know you’re around, but don’t feel guilty.
Boris dad-dancing was my highlight of the closing ceremony. It felt a bit random and all over the place compared to the slick opening ceremony. A party for those there more than anyone else. I did get sucked into the Olympics while they were on though!
Blogging is hard work let alone doing all the social blogging stuff too! Don’t be too hard on yourself!
Thanks for the linkage, Scott. I figured you’re super busy so I don’t want to push you. But I had a great time, so no worries! And, I think I’m no more prolific as some active movie bloggers out there, but thanks for the kind words!
Thank you so much for the link! Don’t worry about commenting – every single one is appreciated no matter when they come in
Thanks for the mention, matey! Hey, like Sati said, no worries, we know how busy everyone is and family must come first! I think it’s great you have your t-shirt gig going, how awesome!
Watching Boris Johnson dancing to the Spice Girls is an image that is yet to leave my memory bank. Hilarious!
Hopefully some of the Olympic spirit will still be there in October – because I am headed back to the UK. This is becoming an annual trek for me
