Tech Tuesday – EPSON Launch affordable 3D Projectors
Since the birth of 3D tech the LCD Projector has stayed elusively expensive, but EPSON have just announced news to end this…
Epson has launched its latest range of high-definition 3D projectors with easy-to-use features including full HD wireless connectivity designed to offer a new experience in home cinema.
The new projectors EH-TW6000 and EH-TW6000W produce the brightest 3D images available on the market and are helping the company explore a new dimension in home cinema, a statement said.
These projectors featuring Epson’s LCD technology also offer high quality 2D images, it added.
Epson’s luminance enhancement technology creates 3D content that is noticeably brighter than other full HD 3D home cinema projectors.
By doubling the refresh rate from 240Hz to 480Hz, the blackout period between left and right eye images is dramatically reduced. This allows users to see a brighter 3D image that is more comfortable to watch.
Khalil El-Dalu, EPSON’s General Manager in the Middle east says…
“Our new projectors support a wide range of current 3D sources, ensuring there is a large catalogue of films and programmes available for viewers to watch, while remaining the best for home cinema projectors with superior image clarity and accurate colour reproduction,”
We at FRC are very pleased that EPSON are bringing the prices down and making the tech more affordable. Especially with the world in the financial state that it is in. Making it more accessible for the average Home CInema user is going to do wonders for the company.
Here is the trailer of the TW-6000W, I think you would agree it is a thing of beauty and fantastic, yet truly affordable tech, costing £1300 at time of this being written. My favourite feature is the fact that it can connect to your blu ray player, or games console WIRELESSLY, meaning it is so much easier to set up, and cutting down the need for excessive wiring.
THE EPSON TW-6000 AND TW6000W ARE RELEASED IN THE UK ON 31ST DECEMBER 2011
Will you be upgrading your projector soon? Is this exciting for you? Comment below…

Wow, looks like a great projector range and the reviews are quite positive as well, especially considering the prices. Love the wireless HD option it has! If I ever get to my own home cinema with a projector I will be giving this a look!
It certainly is a sexy looking machine. I have been looking at a projector at £900 as a new upgrade…this isn’t THAT far away from that hey?
Looks fantastic. I love the wireless ability. But I can’t afford to upgrade just yet.
Yeah matey, that wireless stuff is super clever!!
I was thinking of getting this new 3D model from Epson since I just bought a 3D Bluray player. One thing that bugs me though is the projector doesn’t have lens shift capabilities, I need the lens shift for my home theater room. Other than that, it’s a great machine for that price range.
Ah yes that is one feature it is lacking. But hey it makes up for that with AUTO keystone correction
£1300! Blimey…for that I want a motion-controlled La-Z Boy chair and a complementary pair of slippers.
Hmm, I’ve never been to keen on wireless…. is there any signal issues between the player and the projector to worry about – ie line of sight and all that?
